Position Overview :

The Resident’s Health Services Director is responsible for evaluating residents’ needs and assisting residents in navigating the available services that create the bridge between residential and assisted living and nursing care. This person is responsible for the programming designed to meet these needs and to develop future programs to help meet the wellness needs of the residents (including but not limited to intellectual, occupational, social, environmental, spiritual, emotional, nutritional, and physical).

Qualifications :

Our ideal candidate will be reliable and follow safety procedures and duties assigned by a supervisor.

Current California Licensed Vocational Nurse License in good standing with the LVN Board of Nursing.

RCFE preferred.

CPR, First Aid, and AED required.

Five years’ experience working with seniors in long-term care, home health or other health care setting is preferable.

Five years organizational or management experience; supervising others is preferable.

Must have a passion for working with the elderly, possess strong clinical skills, and have strong customer service, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills for groups and individuals of different populations including persons with disabilities.

Must have effective organizational skills including prioritization, delegation, managing multiple priorities, time management and problem-solving.

Must possess strong interpersonal skills including motivation and behavior change encouraging maximum independence and quality of life while encompassing emotional, intellectual, social, spiritual and vocational components of wellness and chronic disease management.

Must be a self-starter and highly motivated and able to work independently with a minimum amount of supervision.

Requires the use of good judgment and common sense in the performance of duties.

Must be able to evaluate and respond to the needs of staff, clients, and others on a timely basis.
