You will be working with the Bakery Manager to make sure daily bakery is ready for customers as they come into the grocery store.
Duties
- Prepare and bake a wide range of products, including breads, pastries, cakes, and cookies.
- Decorate cakes and other baked goods with artistic flair to enhance presentation.
- Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in flavor and texture.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen to comply with food safety standards.
- Package baked goods attractively for display or customer orders.
- Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers and taking special orders when needed.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
Experience
- Previous experience in a bakery or restaurant setting is preferred, demonstrating knowledge of food preparation techniques.
- Familiarity with cake decorating techniques is highly desirable but not necessary.
- Understanding of food safety regulations and best practices within the kitchen environment.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
