We are looking for an HR manager to oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes. What is an HR manager? To us, an HR manager is the go-to person for all employee-related issues. This means that your HR manager duties will involve managing activities such as job design, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training & development and talent management. Responsibilities

  • Will work closely with the General Manager and President.
  • Manage HR personnel
  • Nurture a positive working environment
  • Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems.
  • Advise managers on organizational policy matters, such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment, and recommend needed changes.
  • Analyze and modify compensation and benefits policies to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Represent organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
  • Identify staff vacancies and recruit, interview, and select applicants.
  • Prepare personnel forecast to project employment needs.
  • Provide current and prospective employees with information about policies, job duties, working conditions, wages, opportunities for promotion, and employee benefits.
  • Investigate and report on industrial accidents for insurance carriers.
  • Administer compensation, benefits, and performance management systems, and safety and recreation programs.
  • Plan, organize, direct, or coordinate the personnel training
  • Plan and conduct new employee orientation
  • Analyze training needs to design employee development, language training, and health and safety programs.
  • Maintain records and compile statistical reports concerning personnel-related data such as hires, transfers, performance appraisals, and absenteeism rates.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy
  • Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues
  • Manage the recruitment and selection process
  • Support current and future business needs through the development, engagement, motivation and preservation of human capital
  • Develop and monitor overall HR strategies, systems, tactics and procedures across the organization
  • Oversee and manage a performance appraisal system that drives high performance
  • Maintain pay plan and benefits program
  • Assess training needs to apply and monitor training programs
  • Report to management and provide decision support through HR metrics
  • Ensure legal compliance throughout human resource management

Requirements

  • Oversee payroll, raises
  • Experience as HR manager or other HR executive
  • Experience with Management System software-Vista PDS
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams
  • Experience with Excel
  • People oriented and results driven
  • Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics
  • Knowledge of HR systems and databases
  • Ability to architect strategy along with leadership skills
  • Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills
  • Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
  • Degree in Human Resources or related field

Major Goals and Objectives

1. Direct, coordinate, and enhance “employee oriented” culture in Wholesale. This includes being a “visible and accessible” Human Resources Manager.

2. Participate in recommending human resources/training programs that meet company needs and support company goals. Provide a consistent review of all programs and training.

3. Develop new human resource programs to meet legal requirements and changing organizational needs. Manage special needs programs (e.g., relocation, reduction-in-force, back-to-work program), if applicable.

1. Oversee the daily operations of the human resources department, ensuring accurate, legally compliant, and timely human resources administration.

2. Assist the company representative in all legal proceedings, working with appropriate legal counsel.

3. Provide management with accurate data regarding human resources expenses.

4. Provide consultation to management as needed.

5. Ensure Human Resources/Benefits/Risk Management day-to-day policies/procedures, benefits, labor, administration, and recordkeeping, etc., consistently meet Company standards.

6. Establish and maintain effective reporting systems for the human resources function. Monitor, interpret, and report results on all human resources-related programs. Recommend appropriate actions that should be taken to ensure optimal company-wide performance.

7. Educate and promote Company benefits, pay, policies, and programs to employees and managers. (401(k), Health/Life/STD, W. Comp., etc.)

8. Provide a safe work environment and be involved in Wholesale safety by making sure OSHA programs and regulations are followed within the plants. Actively participate as a member of the Safety Committee.

9. Coordinate special events.

10. Ensure Wholesale payroll is prompt and accurate weekly.

11. Preparation of annual license renewals, EEOC reports, 550 reports, etc.

12. React and resolve all labor and personnel issues. Investigate discrimination and harassment claims and report findings and recommended courses of action to the General Manager and/or President. Monitor implementation of approved actions following such investigations. Counsel employees and managers on employee relations issues and problems.

13. Develop personnel and training programs for potential future advancement opportunities. Regularly monitor and review effectiveness of existing programs.

14. Oversee recruitment, interviewing, orientation, hiring/staffing and training for positions in Wholesale. Develop and maintain staffing plans designed to anticipate future staffing needs.

15. Oversee and promote food safety and sanitation programs withing Wholesale. (Food Safety Certification, First Aid, and CPR certification.)

16. Observe and enforce all Wholesale rules and company policies.

17. Ensure Wholesale is in compliance and updated of all local, state, and federal laws and regulations, as changes are made.

18. Act as the Company’s representative both within Wholesale and within the community.

19. Provide timely and accurate follow-through in running Human Resources/Personnel/Risk Management Dept.

20. Maintain organization throughout the Human Resource Department.

21. Be involved in the community.

22. Show ownership skills by working varied work hours as needed.

23. Ensure timely performance employee evaluations are conducted.

24. Provide scheduling and administrative functions for the company General Manager and/or President.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $34.00 per hour
