Position Summary:
The Vice President of Sales – Home Health & Hospice will lead the growth strategy for our entire Home Health and Hospice Company, driving census development, referral relationships, and revenue growth across multiple locations. This executive will be responsible for removing barriers to business development, optimizing sales processes, and mentoring a high-performing sales team.
The ideal candidate is a proven leader with deep experience in Home Health and Hospice sales, a strong referral network, and a history of exceeding revenue and census goals in a multi-site healthcare environment.
This position is open to candidates based in Cincinnati, Cleveland, or Columbus, OH.
Estimated Salary Range: $120k-150k/annually
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Sales Leadership: Develop and implement a regional sales strategy focused on increasing patient census and expanding market share in Home Health and Hospice services.
- Referral & Relationship Development: Cultivate strong partnerships with hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, physicians, and community organizations to drive referrals and admissions.
- Sales Team Management: Hire, train, and mentor a high-performing sales team, ensuring alignment with business objectives and revenue targets.
- Market Analysis & Growth Strategy: Analyze market trends, competitive positioning, and referral patterns to identify opportunities and refine sales strategies.
- Process Improvement & Best Practices: Implement standardized sales processes, CRM utilization, and performance tracking to optimize lead conversion and business growth.
- Hands-On Leadership: Conduct field visits, model best practices in sales calls and referral meetings, and provide direct support to sales teams as needed.
- Collaboration with Operations & Clinical Teams: Work closely with the Leadership Team to align sales efforts with service capabilities and patient care excellence.
- Performance Tracking & Reporting: Utilize sales data and KPIs to monitor progress, adjust strategies, and ensure consistent achievement of census and revenue goals.
Qualifications:
- Industry Experience: Minimum of 5 years in Home Health and Hospice sales leadership, with a strong understanding of industry regulations and reimbursement models.
- Multi-Site Management: At least 3 years of experience overseeing sales teams across multiple locations.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
- Proven Sales Success: Demonstrated ability to develop and execute sales strategies that drive significant growth and exceed targets.
- Referral Network Expertise: Strong relationships with hospital systems, SNFs, physicians, and other key referral sources in the Midwest region.
- Technical & Analytical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and CRM software, with the ability to leverage data for strategic decision-making.
- Leadership & Communication: Dynamic, energetic leader with the ability to inspire teams, build trust with stakeholders, and drive business success.
