Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction estimating and project management, with the ability to analyze project requirements and develop accurate cost estimates. This role is crucial in ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining high-quality standards.
Pay commensurate with experience.
Estimating:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and related documents.
- Perform quantity take-offs and develop comprehensive quotes.
- Collaborate with buyers and sales to obtain accurate pricing.
- Acquire and maintain proficiency in technical aspects of the product lines and acquire the ability to explain and demonstrate products on demand.
Project Management:
- Monitor project progress, addressing any issues that arise to keep the project on track.
- Serve as a point of contact for customers, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.
- Assign inquiries and quotes to the appropriate representative for additional follow-up and continued service.
- Provide general customer and sales support as needs arise.
- Facilitate sales by engaging end users and contractors with product information.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including quotes, sales orders, change orders, and progress reports.
- Prepare invoices and quotes for the scope of work.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Estimating and project management within the building industry.
- Ability to read/interpret architectural construction plans and blueprints.
- AutoCAD design experience.
- Project a positive appearance in all interactions with customers and co-workers to ensure a high level of service.
- Consistently show high energy, commitment, and responsibility regarding all Company activities.
- Proficient computer skills and Microsoft software skills.
- Highly detailed with exceptional organizational skills.
- Excellent communication/phone etiquette.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under tight deadlines while being focused on results.
