Responsibilities
Position Purpose:
Seeking a graduate with a keen interest to learn and develop a career in Agricultural Commodity Sales and Execution. The successful candidate will assist in Commodity Futures and OTC trade execution for our existing customer base, and introduce new business to a leading and fast growing risk management business in the region. The successful candidate will have the exciting opportunity to build a book of customers, offering additional incentives.
Primary duties will include:
- Executes futures, options and swaps that support commodity risk management strategies during ICE market hours.
- Analyzes individual client operations to determine market exposure, price sensitivity and financial risks.
- Assesses risk management processes and functions, monitors trading risks and identifies underlying risk exposure.
- Develops and recommends fact based risk mitigation and margin enhancement strategies for clients.
- Monitors trading activities and exposures to ensure they are within approved policies and limits.
- Participates in analysis and reconciliation of positions and P&L reported by trading team.
- Identifies supplementary risk measures and controls required at the trading desk level.
- Obtains appropriate approvals of non-traditional transactions requiring exceptions to risk management policies.
- Ensures the market and credit risk on non-traditional transactions is captured appropriately.
- Establishes and maintains professional relationships with commodity industry experts such as traders, meteorologists, trading analysts, industry professionals for commodity area traded, and key individuals in banks, trading firms and hedge funds to identify opportunities for enhanced commodity risk management strategies and tactics.
- Identifies, verifies, analyzes and provides support to the oversight for trading risks acting as a key link between trading staff, management and risk management.
- Ensures all material market risks are captured and considered.
- Ensures appropriate documentation and records are maintained for audit purposes.
- Maintains prompt and regular attendance.

Secondary Accountabilities/Responsibilities:
- Identifies new potential clients to onboard and educate them on commodities trading and risk management.
- Assists with internal procedures relating to the onboarding of new clients.
- Responds and provides proper follow-up to all incoming inquiries from the corporate web-site and other marketing programs.
- Performs market analysis, including reporting on commodities production, weather, supply and demand variables, and provides risk mitigation and margin enhancement strategies for clients.
- Ensures regulatory requirements are implemented and produces the required reports and analysis.
- Attends trade conferences, seminars and symposiums to represent products, increase contact with existing client base and identify new opportunities.
