Job Overview:
As a Landscape Maintenance Team Lead, you’ll take charge of overseeing daily landscape maintenance tasks for a variety of commercial and residential properties. You will lead a team of maintenance crew members, ensuring the work is completed efficiently, up to our high standards, and with excellent customer service. This is a hands-on leadership role that blends the satisfaction of managing a team with the joy of working outdoors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership: Supervise and guide the landscape maintenance crew, ensuring that all tasks are completed on time, efficiently, and to company standards.
- Landscape Maintenance: Oversee and perform regular landscape maintenance tasks, such as trimming, edging, mulching, weeding, and pruning.
- Quality Control: Ensure all work is completed to the highest quality, inspecting properties and providing feedback for improvements.
- Client Interaction: Serve as the main point of contact for clients on-site, ensuring they are satisfied with the work and addressing any questions or concerns.
- Training & Development: Mentor and train crew members to improve skills, maintain safety standards, and encourage professional growth within the team.
- Equipment Management: Oversee the maintenance and safe operation of landscape tools and equipment, reporting any issues or malfunctions.
- Scheduling & Reporting: Help plan daily schedules, ensure the crew is prepared with necessary tools and materials, and report progress to the maintenance division leader.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of experience in landscape maintenance, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Proven experience with a variety of landscape maintenance tasks and equipment.
- Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
- Knowledge of plant care, landscaping techniques, and industry best practices.
