Job Summary
The Stonington Community Center (COMO) is looking for a Head Youth Tennis Coach. The coach is responsible for creating a curriculum and instructing the COMO programs in addition to overseeing and instructing staff assisting with the program. Programs include Red Ball Tennis for ages 5-7, Orange Ball Tennis for ages 8-10, tennis camps, Middle School programs, and High School Programs.
Qualifications:
- Experience playing and coaching (at least 1 year of coaching)
- First aid CPR AED training is a plus
Knowledge and skills:
- An understanding of COMO policies
- Thorough understanding of the sport and the skills associated with the sport
Specific duties:
- Create and follow program curriculum
- Instruct the COMO instructional program
- Ensure that players are having fun while learning skills
- Communicate with parents as needed
- Oversee and instruct assistant staff
- Record and report incidents to the Athletic Director
- Ensure the safety of all players
