The Registered Nurse collaborates with the Cardiologists in an office setting.
Essential Job Functions:
- The Nuclear Registered Nurse Supervisor will use organizational, clinical, communication and problem solving skills to assist in managing the patient workflow on a daily basis.
- Nurse Supervisor will serve as a role model and clinical expert for the delivery of an advanced level of professional nursing care and provides leadership in developing and maintaining optimal patient care standards in the clinical setting.
- Obtains medical histories, performs physical examinations, makes diagnosis and orders appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
- Review test results.
- Provides patient education about underlying medical condition.
- Instructs and counsels patients regarding therapeutic regimens, promoting wellness and health maintenance.
- Performs nursing care, assists with treatments, therapies, procedures, and administers medications as necessary
- Coordinates management of patient flow and staffing through continuous assessment of volume/acuity needs, utilizing resources available to assist in provision of appropriate staffing resources.
- Assists in identifying expected outcomes to provide direction for continuity of care/department operations.
Qualifications:
- Current New York State license as a Registered Professional Nurse
- Competence with computerized health records
- Ability to work with other medical professionals
- Preference given to those with Cardiac Experience
- Prefer four ACLS/BLS certification
- Critical Care required
- Nuclear stress testing experience preferred
- At least 5 years CCU/telemetry experience
Physical Demands:
May spend a great deal of their professional day walking, standing, moving and manipulating equipment, as well as lifting and moving objects, equipment and supplies. Ability to lift 20 pounds. Moving, lifting or transferring of patients or objects may involve lifting of up to 50 pounds, as well as assist with weights of more than one-hundred (100) pounds. Requires the ability to stand for extended periods of time, bend or twist their body, as well as visual acuity.
Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
