Job Description:

• General environmental duties, wall washing, bed and room cleaning, discharge cleaning, trash removal
• Required to work in the OR and perform all duties associated with the operating room assignment
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision and prioritize responsibilities
• Requires excellent customer service skill
• Must be able to work in a team environment
• Duties as assigned by management

Job Requirements & Qualifications

• High school or GED diploma required
• Must be able to speak, read and write English in order to comprehend in-services and department literature
• Customer service oriented
• Heavy physical effort – lift/carry up to 50 lbs
• Prolonged, extensive & considerable standing/walking
• Reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling

Prior to start date, the selected candidate must meet the following requirements:

Successfully complete pre-employment physical examination and obtain medical clearance from Stony Brook Southampton's Employee Health Services*

• Complete electronic reference checks with a minimum of three (3) professional references
• Successfully complete a 4-panel drug screen*
• Meet Regulatory Requirements for pre-employment screenings
• Provide a copy of any required New York State license(s)/certificate(s)

Failure to comply with any of the above requirements could result in a delayed start date and/or revocation of the employment offer.
