Description
One temporary full-time clinical faculty position at the Clinical Instructor rank in the Department of Neurological Surgery for a Board Certified or Board Eligible Neurosurgeon via ABNS (via primary ACGME route), AOA, and/or RCPSC (see qualifications). This is a two year fellowship where the accepted applicant will join a multidisciplinary academic neurosurgery practice, including elective practice and shared neurosurgical trauma call at a Level One Trauma Center. The department is comprised of neurosurgeons, neurosurgical residents, spine physiatrists, neurointensivists and specially trained Advanced Practice Providers in an academic setting with research opportunities.
Qualifications
MD, DO (or foreign equivalent). Completion of a ACGME or FRCSC neurosurgical residency program a must. Board Eligible / Board Certified by ABNS, AOA or RCPSC in Neurosurgery. Must have New York State medical license upon hire and be eligible for one upon application.
Possession of an advanced degree in a relevant field (eg: MBA, MPH, MHA, PhD or foreign equivalent). Evidence of participation in clinical or basic research with first position publications in peer reviewed journals. Possession of ATLS/ACLS/PALS.
