JOB DESCRIPTION :
The Quality Measurement Data Manager (QMDM) is responsible for capturing and evaluating data collected from various indicators that have been developed for systems performance improvement. The QMDM performs medical record reviews for potential quality issues and concerns as demonstrated by use of electronic and chart abstracted core measure indicators, quality of care and outcome screens, mortality reviews, readmission reviews, transfers, ED indicators and any other indicator that is approved by the medical staff and / or VP Quality and Regulatory Affairs. The QMDM will develop reports, tables and graphs etc. for capturing and presenting data used to direct, implement, coordinate and improve performance. The QMDM will be responsible for the departmental utilization review function i.e. : insurance company reviews denials management etc. and will assist in the case management function when needed and as directed by the VP or AVP of the department. This role includes, but is not limited to the above, to ensure compliance with all fiscal, regulatory and accrediting requirements as required by the Joint Commission, NYS Department of Health, Office of Mental Health, IPRO, The Justice Center, OASAS, and SAMSHA.etc.
Qualifications :
- Registered Professional nurse currently licensed and registered in the State of New York
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum of 5 years case management, quality assurance and performance improvement experience in an acute care setting
- Committed to continuing professional development
- Ability to work effectively with others.
- Willingness to work closely and cooperatively as a member of an interdisciplinary team
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- PRI and SCREEN certified
