POSITION DESCRIPTION :
Demonstrate proficiency in the performance of all diagnostic and fluoroscopic examinations and equipment. Demonstrate proficiency in the use and application of pediatric immobilization devices adhering to safety precautions. Must prepare or enter written documentation as required by the Department, such as informed patient consent, patient chart documentation, and other related duties. Perform portable and operating room examinations in a timely and professional manner, must observe sterile and aseptic techniques when necessary. Check equipment, supplies, and accessories on a regular basis. Assess the physical needs of the adult and geriatric patients. Demonstrate the ability to recognize and ally patients' fears and apprehensions about exams. Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of work areas. Complete requested examinations in a timely manner, observing radiation safety standards. Address the special needs of each age group served and assist in making reasonable accommodations for the hearing impaired, physically challenged, or any other patients who may enter the Hospital. Oberves bio-safety and radiation safety rules and regulations. Responsibilities and duties may be added, changed, or deleted at any time at the discretion of the Assistant Director of Radiology or Director of Radiology, either verbally or in writing. Performs related duties in PACS. Responsible for knowing and adhering to established hospital / department policies and procedures, including all aspects of safety. Maintain and exhibit behavior that promotes patient confidence and trust. Capable of working independently / unsupervised.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES :
- Perform all diagnostic, fluoroscopic, portable and OR examinations.
- Perform duties adhering to patient safety and radiation safety and radiation safety standards of practice.
- Must prepare or enter written documentation as required by the department such as informed consent
- Float to all off-sites as needed, weekends and holidays.
