What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cummins Technician - 2nd Shift position at Stoops Freightliner?
Summary:
The primary function of the Heavy-Duty Cummins Technician is to diagnose and complete repairs on heavy and medium duty trucks. Individual will perform a variety of tasks on heavy-duty trucks, large construction vehicles, and buses, specializing in the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of Cummins diesel engines and related components.

Shift Premium Pay
4 Day work Week
Essential Functions:
· Repair and Maintain customer equipment using hand tools, precision measuring instruments and machine tools
· Diagnose, troubleshoot, and examine parts for defects and excessive wear, repair engine/driveline/ABS related issues utilizing sound mechanical knowledge and computer based diagnostic programs
· Perform routine maintenance checks including inspecting brake system, wheel bearings, electrical system, and air system
Minimum Qualifications:
· Previous experience as a technician
· Ability to display knowledge of diesel and gas engines
· Ability to display knowledge of repair procedures
