Summary: A Trailer Technician is responsible for repairing all systems on semi-trailers to meet DOT standards. This role involves removing and replacing brakes, brake drums, hubs, seals, bearings, and associated parts, as well as repairing electrical/lighting systems, chassis components, flooring, rub rails, doors, door trim, roofs, panels, nose panels, upper and lower rails, and welding tasks.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Repair all systems on Semi-Trailers to meet DOT standards.
- Remove and replace brakes, brake drums, hubs, seals, bearings, and associated parts.
- Repair electrical/lighting systems.
- Repair or replace chassis components.
- Repair or replace flooring, rub rails, doors, door trim.
- Perform repairs to roofs, panels, nose panels, upper and lower rails.
- Perform welding tasks as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Basic tool set (tools also available on site).
- Experience with power and hand tools.
- Experience in repair and maintenance of semi-trailers preferred, but not required.
- Candidates with skilled trade experience from related fields are encouraged to apply.
