We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Cashier to join our team in a fast-paced environment. Duties
- Process customer transactions accurately and efficiently at the register.
- Provide exceptional service to patients and their families, addressing any inquiries or concerns.
- Maintain knowledge of medical terminology to assist with patient interactions effectively.
- Collaborate with pharmacy technicians to support medication administration and IV infusion processes when necessary.
- Ensure the cash register is balanced at the end of each shift, reporting any discrepancies immediately.
- Uphold cleanliness and organization of the cashier area, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Assist in managing inventory levels by restocking items as needed and reporting low stock to management.
Skills
- Familiarity with medical terminology related to pharmacy and patient care is highly desirable.
- Ability to handle critical care situations with composure and professionalism.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients, families, and team members.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in transactions and inventory management.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided.
