Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve deli items, ensuring freshness and quality.
- Assist customers with their selections, providing knowledgeable recommendations and upselling additional products.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the deli area in compliance with health regulations.
- Perform food preparation tasks, including slicing meats and cheeses, assembling sandwiches, and preparing salads.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using retail math skills.
- Buss tables and clean dining areas to ensure a pleasant experience for customers.
- Stock shelves with deli products and ensure proper rotation of inventory.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or retail is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions and inventory management.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and sanitation standards is a plus.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help both customers and team members.
