We are seeking a highly motivated and service-oriented Learning Specialist II (Learning Advisor) to support our Regional Operations team to maximize exempt, new hire performance by keeping quality candidates engaged, on-track, proficient, and confident throughout and beyond the onboarding process.This position requires close collaboration with the Regional Vice President (RVP), District Directors (DDs), HR Business Partners (HRBPs), and the Learning & Development team to drive consistent, focused, and high-quality onboarding experience.

What we ask of you:
- New Hire Orientation:
- Lead New Hire Orientation for Exempts & Part-Time Closers. Identify gaps or needs in capabilities. Follow up on completion of onboarding steps. Ensure input and alignment from regional leadership.
- Training Plans:
- Identify additional needs for individuals within their Training Plans. Ensure Training Plans for new exempts are in place with appropriate training store manager, adjusting timelines as needed.
- Onboarding Progress:
- Ensure application of learning into daily work by evaluating performance and confidence of trainees through deep conversations and observations. Share regular performance feedback to new hires to drive continuous improvement and associate engagement. Facilitate weekly trainee and certified training store manager check-ins. Share timely updates with regional leadership on new hire and program effectiveness.
- Rising Stars (Emerging Talent Program):
- Promote program to create environments where diversity is embraced, and talent is nurtured early in employment life cycle. Meet & partner with District Captains ensuring program is being utilized within each district. Provide insight to continuous program improvement. Ensure period & quarterly meetings take place.
- Training Series:
- Partner with HR (HRBP, Learning) & Operational partners (Quality Assurance, Safety, Profitability/Replenishment) to determine classroom training needs, scheduling, and completion. Provide feedback for continuous improvement of training checklists and programs.
- Store Manager Development Center (SMDC):
- Guide process supporting SMDCs and sessions. Track nominee application and supervisor paperwork process. Provides materials, handles logistics, and manages time on assessment days.
What you bring to the table:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a directly related field
- Strong focus on customer service with a sense of urgency and excellent follow-through
- Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively and independently, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines
- Experience working in an operational environment, grocery preferred
- Experience and desire to provide coaching, guiding, and support tools to help managers and associates succeed
- Strong organization and time management skills
- Experience coaching, guiding, supporting others throughout various stages of their development
- Ability to resolve conflict and influence others to gain agreement on solutions that balance the need of the trainee and the business
- Curiosity and a passion for learning to advance your career
- Actively seeks opportunities to enhance best practices and drive continuous improvement
- Consolidates information from various sources and feedback to make informed decisions
- Willingness to travel regularly (3-5 days/week) within region, including 2 Saturdays a month. Work 1-2 evenings a month to support Part-Time Closer Orientation, if needed.
