Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Shop Assistant to join our team in a dynamic manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting various shop operations, ensuring that production runs smoothly and efficiently. This position requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Responsibilities
- Fabricate parts with multiple materials – wood, metal, silicone, resin, urethanes
- Assist in the development of various prototype initiatives
- Prepare and track all project related organizational paperwork
- Assist in researching new designs and products
- Maintain a running inventory to assure no work stoppages occur
- Assure clean work areas and safety protocols are maintained
- Report project status directly to Supervisor
- Other duties as assigned by Supervisor
Skills
- MUST HAVE: Basic mechanical skills – automotive/motorcycle
- MUST HAVE: Basic electrical wiring knowledge
- MUST HAVE: Experience using the following materials: metal, wood, urethanes, resin, silicone
- MUST HAVE: Experience with basic hand and power tools
- Willingness to learn new processes and procedures
- Knowledge of processes and procedures relating to mold making, painting, and fabrication
- General Microsoft Office skills
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all tasks performed.
- Excellent teamwork skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.

Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift at least 70 lbs

Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of work related experience
