Your Role as an Urgent Care Physician:
As a vital member of our team, you will:
• Diagnose and treat a wide variety of acute illnesses and injuries in an urgent care setting.
• Perform minor procedures, such as suturing, splinting, and abscess drainage.
• Provide efficient, high-quality medical care with a focus on patient satisfaction.
• Work autonomously while collaborating with APPs and support staff.
• Utilize electronic medical records (EMR) efficiently for documentation and patient care.
Qualifications:
• Licensure: Active and unrestricted MD or DO license in Alabama.
• Board Certification: Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine, or a related specialty.
• Experience: Urgent care or emergency medicine experience preferred.
• Skills: Strong clinical judgment, leadership, and the ability to work independently.
• DOT Certification: Preferred, but we offer support to obtain it within the first 6 weeks.
Schedule & Work Environment:
• Rotating Shifts: Three 11-hour shifts one week, four 11-hour shifts the next.
• Weekend Rotations: Work every other weekend to maintain work-life balance.
• Clinic Hours: Monday – Saturday (8 AM - 7 PM), Sunday (9 AM - 5 PM). Closed Thanksgiving & Christmas.
