Established in 2017, Stor-Mor Outdoor Products (SMOP) started in Mayfield, Kentucky with the intention of providing quality storage buildings to customers at affordable prices. With two individuals and one objective, SMOP steadily grew to dozens, then hundreds of team members. Along the way, our objective has transformed to include “MOR†outdoor products, however the foundation has remained the same: providing outdoor products at a rate customers can afford!
What began in Western Kentucky as a provider of storage buildings, has expanded our footprint across eighteen states with over 250 storefronts to best serve our customers through both B-to-B and Direct-to-Consumer channels. SMOP now provides wooden storage buildings, metal storage buildings, trailers, roll-formed metal, and lumber. With 400 team members and over 20,000 transactions, we know the most important piece of the puzzle is: the people.

The Sales Support and Training Specialist position will primarily be responsible for customer service, training and taking transactions from inquiry to closed and ensuring all necessary due diligence throughout the process is met.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Set up dealers, drivers, and sales reps in various software
- Support and train sales partners while keeping a professional and positive attitude
- Communicate directly with customers about their orders
- Work across multiple platforms entering large amounts of data
REQUIRMENTS:
- 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience
- Ability to work across multiple platforms
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively while working in a deadline-oriented environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized and attentive to detail
- Must be a self-starter on individual projects and strong contributor on team projects
- Passionate about using data as a tool for promoting and monitoring business growth
- Familiar and comfortable with technology and able to learn quickly
- Familiar and comfortable with Microsoft Office – word, excel, outlook, and powerpoint
In addition to the requirements above, the following skill sets will give a candidate a competitive advantage:
- Familiarity with the shed industry, buildings, floorplans, Shed Suite, e-commerce, 3-D Builder, etc…
- Familiar with zoom, Microsoft teams, Monday,
- Ability to set-up business pages and navigate over numerous social media sites.
