What are the responsibilities and job description for the REGIONAL DIRECTOR position at Storage Asset Management?
Summary: This full-time position requires a demonstrated track record of success with the ability to lead a portfolio of self storage properties. A background in multi-unit self storage operational oversight is required. This position reports to the VP of Operations and will oversee field operations for a portion of the company’s portfolio, including District Managers, Storage Managers and Assistant Managers. Interaction with all company departments, Store Owners, and potential new clients.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Multi-unit self-storage leadership experience at the District Manager level (or higher) is required
· High energy level with enthusiasm for the role and results
· Proven ability to hire, train and retain talent
· Dynamic intelligence and involvement at all levels of operations
· Demonstrated ability to increase occupancy, revenue and reduce/manage expenses
· True belief in customer centricity
· Ability to increase the value of properties through operational excellence
· Can directly answer and address difficult issues and lead continuous improvement
· Proactive nature in leading properties to accomplish goals
· Deep understanding with the levers that drive self-storage performance
· Solid understanding of self-storage metrics and financials

· Ability to provide direct, actionable (positive or corrective) feedback to others
· Proven ability with building and leading high performing teams and developing direct reports
· Valid Driver’s license and reliable transportation to drive between locations needed.
· Ability to travel is required – 50%

Education and/or Experience Requirements:
· Post-secondary education desired with a minimum of 5-10 years previous management experience within the storage industry
· Must have a valid Driver’s license and reliable transportation.
· Superior organizational skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Language Skills: Must be fluent in speaking and writing the English language.
Work Hours: In a typical week, this position requires a minimum of 40 hours
Work Environment: This work is usually performed indoors in an office environment with normal noise levels and no exposure to hazardous conditions.
