What You’ll Do
- Lead & Develop: Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and technical excellence.
- Technical Leadership: Provide architectural and technical guidance to ensure scalability, security, and maintainability of the OMS.
- Execution & Delivery: Oversee the development lifecycle, ensuring efficient planning, prioritization, and execution of engineering projects.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Design, and Operations teams to align technical initiatives with business objectives.
- Process Improvement: Enhance engineering processes, streamline workflows, and implement best practices to drive operational efficiency.
- Code & Architecture Oversight: Ensure high code quality and adherence to software development best practices through design reviews and technical mentorship.
- Strategic Planning: Contribute to the engineering strategy and roadmap, aligning it with Stord’s broader business goals.
- Proven experience (5 years) in software engineering, with 2 years in an engineering leadership role.
- Strong background development, preferably in Elixir/Phoenix or other functional programming languages.
- Experience working on large-scale distributed systems or complex enterprise applications.
- Ability to mentor, coach, and develop engineers, fostering a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make data-driven decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of software development best practices, system architecture, and DevOps principles.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with Product, Design, and other teams. You will be required to clearly articulate complex technical ideas and plans with people of diverse backgrounds.
