STORE Capital Advisors, LLC is seeking a team orientated, self starter with credit analysis experience to join our Data Analytics team.
How you will contribute to STORE’s mission:
STORE Capital is making a strategic investment in people and capabilities to develop advanced analytics that enhance decision making across the company. The Data Scientist will be responsible for creating actionable insights and developing analytic models to accelerate growth and improve efficiency in acquisitions, underwriting, account management and recoveries. This is a high impact/visibility position working cross functionally with others across all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate should be highly skilled in all aspects of data analytics including data validation, transformations, statistical analysis, and data visualization.
What will make you successful (Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, or a similar quantitative field.
- 3-5 years of experience spanning data analysis, machine learning, and/or data engineering.
- Strong skills in Python, SQL, and Excel, with the ability to automate data workflows and manage large datasets.
- Proven experience translating data into insights and delivering clear, actionable business recommendations.
- Hands-on experience building and validating predictive models; statistical rigor is a must.
- Ability to gather requirements, map business processes, and collaborate with stakeholders to deliver tailored data solutions.
- Experience with credit modeling, underwriting, and portfolio management is a plus.
- Experience with commercial real estate acquisition and pricing is a plus.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Azure Machine Learning, or similar data engineering tools is a plus.
What most days will include (Primary Duties)
- Build, validate, and maintain predictive models that drive economic decision-making across the organization.
- Assemble ad hoc datasets from diverse source systems to meet urgent business needs, while driving ongoing enhancements to enterprise-wide data models and automated workflows.
- Analyze complex financial performance and commercial real estate datasets to uncover trends, opportunities, and actionable insights that enhance portfolio performance and operational efficiency.
- Automate, standardize, and document data workflows to ensure clarity, consistency, and scalability across the organization.
- Develop reports and dashboards that support stakeholder decision-making through thoughtful analysis and visualization.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, deliver regular updates, and ensure alignment between data solutions and business objectives.
- Evaluate and streamline internal data systems for efficiency, identifying gaps and implementing best practices for data handling, processing, and cleaning.
