STORE Capital Advisors, LLC is seeking a Financial Reporting Accountant to join our team!
How you will contribute to the STORE's mission
The Financial Reporting Accountant will work closely with the manager and team to assist in the preparation of periodic financial statements for internal and external use. Responsibilities include preparation of various work papers and supporting schedules, detailed report tie outs and ensuring filings and documentation are complete, accurate and complies with SEC, GAAP and Fair Value reporting guidelines. This role will also assist with the ongoing documentation, monitoring and maintenance of the company’s control environment and coordination with internal and external auditors as it relates to control testing, quarterly reviews and annual audits.
What will make you successful (Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university, with an emphasis in accounting, finance or related field required
- 1-2 years of financial accounting experience with public accounting firm and/or industry experience; financial reporting or fair value experience a plus
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or in the process of obtaining a CPA license preferred
- Demonstrated and proven success in application of US GAAP
- Knowledge of internal controls and SOX compliance
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills, experience with MS Office including advanced Excel knowledge
- Must be organized, detail oriented, flexible, efficient and take ownership of own work product
- Ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines
- Exhibit the highest standards of honesty, integrity and professionalism
- Organized with an ability to multi-task and work with limited supervision
- Proven accuracy and attention to details
What most days will include (Primary Duties)
- Assist with the preparation of external and internal financial reports including audited financial statements and footnotes and SEC filings, including Form 10-K and 10-Q
- Prepare various work papers and supporting schedules relative to the Company’s periodic financial statements and SEC filings
- Prepare tie out of periodic SEC reports, including form 10-K and 10-Q
- Assist in the management of the XBRL tagging filing process for Forms 10-K and 10-Q
- Assist in the facilitation and support of independent annual audits and quarterly reviews of the Company’s financial records
- Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements and/or reporting packages, including fair value reporting
- Work cross-functionally and assist with ad-hoc projects with key stakeholders and other team members
