Position Title: Junior Estimator

Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze construction drawings and specifications to understand project scope and requirements.
- Collaborate with senior estimators to compile accurate bid documents and estimates for ongoing projects.
- Make phone calls to identify, contact, and qualify potential subcontractors for bids. Obtain necessary pricing and scope information from subcontractors.
- Assist in assembling project estimate books, ensuring all necessary documentation is included and accurate.
- Engage in regular communication via phone and email with subcontractors, vendors, and internal team members to gather necessary data for estimates.
- Provide general administrative support to the Estimator and Director of Construction, helping manage project timelines and maintaining up-to-date records of bids and estimates.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is a plus)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in construction office setting is preferred
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong communication skills for phone and email correspondence.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Salary : $50,000 - $65,000
