Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor the safety of children in your care at all times.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote learning and development.
- Provide support in behavior management techniques to encourage positive interactions among children.
- Assist with daily routines such as meal preparation, feeding, and personal hygiene.
- Maintain a clean and organized environment conducive to play and learning.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
- Administer first aid when necessary and maintain a first aid kit readily available.
- Foster an inclusive atmosphere for children with disabilities or special needs, adapting activities as required.
Experience
- Previous experience in babysitting or nannying is preferred.
- Familiarity with behavior management strategies is a plus.
- Knowledge of first aid practices is beneficial; certification is a plus but not required upon hiring.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or in special education settings is highly valued.
- A background in childhood development or caregiving will enhance your ability to educate and engage effectively with children.
