Position Overview:
We are seeking a Supplement & Contract Writing Specialist with expertise in insurance claim supplements, Xactimate estimating, blueprint analysis, and construction contract compliance. This is primarily a desk-based role, perfect for former public adjusters, insurance estimators, or construction professionals who prefer to avoid fieldwork while still playing a critical role in storm restoration.
Key Responsibilities:
Supplement & Estimating Duties
• Review insurance claims and identify missing or underpaid items requiring supplementation.
• Utilize Xactimate or similar estimating software to generate accurate estimates for storm damage repairs.
• Analyze blueprints and project scopes to calculate labor and material costs.
• Communicate with insurance carriers to negotiate and justify claim supplements for additional repairs.
Contract Writing & Compliance
• Draft and review construction contracts, ensuring they align with state regulations and public codes.
• Stay up to date on building codes, permit requirements, and insurance claim laws to ensure legal compliance.
• Work with project managers to finalize contracts with subcontractors, material suppliers, and homeowners.
Collaboration & Communication
• Work closely with project managers, public adjusters, and field inspectors to ensure seamless claim handling.
• Provide detailed documentation and reports to support supplement claims and contract negotiations.
• Train and assist sales teams on proper claim documentation and supplement submissions.
Qualifications:
• Experience as a Public Adjuster, Insurance Estimator, or Construction Estimator (preferred).
• Proficiency in Xactimate or similar estimating software (required).
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, public codes, and insurance claim processes.
• Knowledge of local and state regulations regarding storm damage restoration.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills when dealing with insurance adjusters.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.
