Job Summary : Storm Guard is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with Xactimate estimating software, excellent communication skills for interacting with homeowners and insurance adjusters, and a strong understanding of the restoration and roofing industry.

Key Responsibilities :

• Utilize Xactimate estimating tool to prepare accurate and detailed project estimates.
• Collaborate with project managers and sales teams to develop cost-effective solutions.
• Communicate effectively with homeowners to explain estimates, answer questions, and provide exceptional customer service.
• Work closely with insurance adjusters to ensure accurate claim processing and approval.
• Conduct site visits to assess damage, take measurements, and gather necessary information for estimates.
• Maintain detailed records of estimates, communications, and project updates.
• Assist in negotiating estimates with insurance companies and other stakeholders.
• Stay updated on industry trends, building codes, and insurance requirements.
• Provide administrative support to the estimating department as needed.

Qualifications :

• Proven experience with Xactimate estimating software.
• Knowledge of construction, restoration, or roofing industries preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, specifications, and scopes of work.
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications :

• Experience working with homeowners and insurance adjusters.
• Bilingual abilities (Spanish / English) a plus.
