Position Summary:

• Ensures all molding machines and mold support equipment are in good working condition and meet safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance and general repairs on presses.
• Modify hydraulic, electrical, or mechanical circuits to optimize molding conditions.
• Identify and repair hydraulic leaks.
• Troubleshoot and inspect facility equipment for defects.
• Dismantle, repair, rebuild, reassemble, and test equipment for proper function.
• Collaborate with other employees on complex maintenance tasks.
• Maintain spare parts inventory and schedule necessary repairs.
• Perform mold changes and rebuild valves and pump motors as needed.
• Order required parts and supplies.
• Remove and install molds as per work orders and production schedules.
• Transport molds to the Toolroom for repairs.
• Clean screws and nozzles as necessary.
• Conduct emergency maintenance when required.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance and repairs.
• Minimize equipment downtime by performing preventive maintenance promptly.

Technical Skills & Requirements:

• Ability to read and interpret hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical machine prints.
• Modify, repair, and install hydraulic circuits based on schematics.
• Troubleshoot electrical and hydraulic issues using schematics.
• Experience setting relief valves, unloading valves, and pressure adjustments.
• Strong understanding of the mechanical functions of injection molding machines, including mechanical advantage, strain, clamp, level, parallel, and platin.
