As part of our Engineering team, the Director, Engineering will analyze data and draft implementation plans for production process optimization. This role seeks ways to maximize efficiencies by eliminating waste of valuable resources that directly impact overall operating costs.
The Director, Engineering will manage and direct engineering resources in assigned functional areas, ensuring efficient operations and strategic execution. The position focuses on achieving world-class operational and engineering performance through business partnerships, strategic planning, problem resolution, talent development, maintenance execution, capital budget management, and consistent plant execution.
Operational Leadership :
- Lead engineering resources across the organization and assigned plants to ensure optimal plant performance.
- Foster a collaborative relationship with cross-functional leadership (Operations, Business Management, Innovation, HR, FSQA, Environmental, Safety, PSM, CI, etc.) to achieve organizational goals.
- Provide leadership to Central Engineering resources, Plant Engineering leadership teams, and front-line maintenance talent in pursuit of operational and engineering objectives.
- Develop and monitor capital and maintenance budgets, manage the capital planning process, and oversee capital and expense projects.
- Drive Engineering performance in assigned functional areas to ensure efficient, reliable, and cost-effective achievement of performance goals.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements and leverage internal and external resources to implement strategies.
- Establish and enforce processes, procedures, and best practices for maintaining high standards of operations and compliance with internal standards and external regulations.
