Key Responsibilities:
- Audit Planning & Execution:
- Lead and manage the audit process, including planning, fieldwork, and reporting.
- Develop and execute audit plans in line with organizational and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure audits are completed within established deadlines and budgets.
- Team Supervision:
- Supervise and mentor audit staff, ensuring effective and efficient performance.
- Provide guidance and training to junior auditors and staff.
- Allocate work and provide regular feedback on performance.
- Risk Assessment & Compliance:
- Identify areas of financial and operational risk and develop strategies to address them.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, internal policies, and industry best practices.
- Evaluate internal controls and recommend improvements where necessary.
- Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare and review audit reports, highlighting key findings, risks, and recommendations.
- Communicate audit results to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Ensure audit documentation is complete, accurate, and in line with audit standards.
- Client Relationship Management (if applicable):
- Maintain positive relationships with clients (internal or external).
- Understand client needs and provide advice on improving financial and operational controls.
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on industry trends, changes in accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Recommend improvements to the audit process to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA, CIA, or other relevant certifications preferred.
- Experience: Several years of experience in auditing, with at least a few years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Skills:
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, and financial regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
