The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for executing capital projects and providing mechanical engineering support for production operations. The ideal candidate will play a key role in facility preparation, equipment design, installation, and ongoing support aimed at enhancing safety, reliability, efficiency, and quality across manufacturing operations.
Some of the Responsibilities of the Mechanical Engineer include:
- Collaborate in a hands-on, team environment to deliver capital and strategic engineering projects for production facilities
- Lead mechanical aspects of projects, including equipment layout, facility modifications, and installation planning
- Drive improvements in equipment reliability, safety, maintenance efficiency, and ergonomic design
- Ensure engineering solutions are compliant with ISO 14001, EHS standards, and relevant safety and environmental regulations
- Interface with cross-functional teams, including Manufacturing, Maintenance, R&D, QA, and Supply Chain, to align on project requirements and execution
- Provide ongoing technical support to Production and Maintenance teams
- Manage and coordinate external engineering and construction partners as needed
- Maintain project documentation and ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental guidelines
- Take ownership of project outcomes and support continuous improvement initiatives
Some of the Requirements/Qualifications of the Mechanical Engineer include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 3 years of experience for Level II Engineer; 5 years of experience for Level III Engineer
- Strong judgment, self-motivation, and a proactive approach to safety
- Demonstrated ability to manage shifting priorities and multiple assignments effectively
- Hands-on aptitude for working in shop floor environments and solving practical problems
- Experience supporting medium-scale projects with limited supervision
- Familiarity with Solid Edge CAD modeling software is preferred
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, EPA, and OSHA regulations is a plus
Salary : $57,000 - $74,000
