The Safety Manager leads site safety initiatives, ensuring compliance with corporate standards and government regulations. This role develops and implements safety programs, conducts training, and fosters a proactive safety culture.
Some of the Responsibilities of the Safety Manager include:
- Ensure compliance with safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
- Lead and manage safety initiatives, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
- Conduct audits, inspections, risk assessments, and hazard analyses.
- Develop and implement safety policies and training programs.
- Monitor safety data trends and drive continuous improvements.
- Manage workers’ compensation claims and case management.
- Coordinate and facilitate safety meetings and training.
- Oversee safety documentation, reports, and compliance tracking.
- Support initiatives such as VPP, Contractor Safety Management, and Industrial First Aid.
Some of the Qualifications/Requirements of the Safety Manager include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Health & Safety, Environmental Health, or a related field.
- 5 years of occupational health and safety experience in an industrial setting.
- SMS, GSP, ASP, or CSP certification required.
- First Aid/CPR/AED and OSHA 10/30 certification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety best practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
