We are currently partnered with a financial services firm that specializes in developing digital asset trading strategies and infrastructure in search for an Head of Security to join their firm.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive software security strategy tailored to the needs of a crypto trading environment.
- Establish and enforce security best practices, policies, and procedures.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for all software security matters, including incident response, audits, and compliance.
- Conduct regular security assessments of code, applications, and infrastructure.
- Oversee the design and implementation of security controls for trading algorithms, APIs, and data pipelines.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate security risks in existing systems and processes.
Requirements
Professional Experience:
- 8 years of experience in software security, cybersecurity, or a related field, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven experience securing trading platforms, financial applications, or cryptocurrency systems.
- Hands-on experience with security tools (e.g., static and dynamic code analysis, SIEM, IDS/IPS) and technologies (e.g., blockchain, cryptography, AWS/Azure security).
- Strong understanding of secure coding practices, threat modeling, and application security frameworks (e.g., OWASP).
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C , or Java, and familiarity with microservices architectures.
- Deep knowledge of cryptographic protocols, blockchain technology, and cryptocurrency security practices.
