What are the responsibilities and job description for the Software Engineer position at Storm2?
Application architect: Tech Visionary Wanted!
Our client is looking for an Application Architect who’s equal parts problem-solver, mentor, and tech enthusiast. If you love turning messy business challenges into clean, scalable solutions—and can do it without making everyone’s head spin—this might just be your next big move.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Designing scalable, reliable, and future-ready applications—because "just good enough" isn’t in your vocabulary.
- Translating business needs into practical, elegant tech solutions (without losing your mind in endless meetings).
- Reviewing code and designs like a tech Jedi, making sure everything is solid and secure.
- Mentoring developers, sharing wisdom, and maybe even dropping some dad jokes along the way.
- Defining architecture while keeping performance, security, and long-term success in mind.
- Staying on top of tech trends so we’re always ahead of the game (and not stuck using yesterday’s tools).
What You Bring to the Table
- 10 years of hands-on application development experience—this isn’t your first rodeo.
- 5 years in leadership roles—because people listen when you talk.
- Bonus points if you have experience in post-trade processing of global financial transactions (or at least know what that means).
- A strong grasp of Agile, Waterfall, and modern software methodologies—you know when to flex and when to stick to the plan.
- A solid understanding of Web and Cloud technologies—because the world isn’t running on floppy disks anymore.
- The ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and simply (yes, even to non-tech folks).
- A Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is great, but if you can out-architect the degree-holders, we won’t hold it against you.
