Role Overview
We’re seeking a Senior Analyst, Asset Management to optimize the performance of a growing portfolio of commercial and industrial (C&I) solar assets, battery storage systems, and EV chargers. This role is crucial in ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining data accuracy, and driving insights that support business strategy. Reporting to the VP of Asset Management, you will manage a small team, oversee daily monitoring, and develop advanced reporting tools to enhance asset performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of 2-3 analysts, with plans to expand as the portfolio grows.
- Monitor real-time data across 1,500 solar sites, ensuring timely issue detection and resolution.
- Develop dashboards in PowerBI to track performance, identify trends, and support predictive maintenance.
- Streamline processes for issue identification, reporting, and data validation to improve efficiency.
- Manage warranty tracking, triggering inspections and service requests before expiration.
- Analyze asset performance and generate executive reports on key operational and financial metrics.
- Collaborate with leadership to align asset management strategies with company objectives.
Qualifications
- 6 years in solar asset management, site monitoring, or related fields.
- 2 years of experience leading teams and optimizing workflows.
- Strong grasp of financial modeling, performance forecasting, and energy market structures (PPA, IRR, OpCo models, etc.).
- Hands-on experience with SCADA systems, monitoring platforms (AlsoEnergy, SolarEdge, Chint, etc.), and API integrations.
- Proficiency in PowerBI, SQL, and Python for data analysis and visualization.
- Excellent communication skills, including report writing and professional correspondence.
- Knowledge of FERC regulations is a plus.
