⚡ Position Summary:
The Automotive Application Engineer will analyze EV platform architectures and battery technologies to determine future Low Voltage battery requirements. The AE will lead data collection and analysis on hybrid and fully electric vehicles, supporting various stakeholders and assessing the impact of changes on EV vehicles and systems.
⚡ Key Responsibilities:
- Provide engineering guidance to Manufacturing, Quality, H&S, Sales, Costing, and Maintenance teams.
- Develop technical reports, presentations, and project information for management, customers, and vendors.
- Plan and execute data collection and analysis on hybrid and full electric vehicles.
- Assess the impact of changes on EVs and systems.
- Support other Application Engineering personnel.
⚡ Required Qualifications:
- 4-year degree in a science or engineering field (chemistry, physics, math, electrical or mechanical).
- 5 years of experience in applications engineering, with a focus on low voltage systems, data acquisition, and system modelling.
- Proficient in applying standard engineering techniques in manufacturing process operations.
- Prior experience with EV architectures and advanced battery technology preferred.
- Systems Engineering experience is a plus.
- Experience with Energy Management, Electrical Charging, and Storage systems is an advantage.
- Proven skills in troubleshooting and process solution development.
