A Brief Overview
Enforces regulations, policies and public laws that contribute to the safety and security of patients, visitors and employees of the medical center. Performs routine security patrols in order to prevent thefts, destruction of property, disorderly conduct and other adverse incidents on medical center property. Performs security related functions, including but not limited to standbys, motorist assistance, locks/unlocks, report writing.

- 1 year Security, law enforcement, paid fire or other emergency service experience. Required Experience with de-escalation techniques. Preferred

What you will do
- Enforces regulations, policies and public laws that contribute to the safety and security of patients, visitors and employees of the medical center. Attends workshops, classes, and seminars to maintain their proficiency and assure a safe environment for patients, visitors and employees.
- Performs routine security patrols in order to prevent thefts, destruction of property, disorderly conduct and other adverse incidents on medical center property. Responds to burglar, panic, fire and Infant Abduction alarms as necessary. Responds and assists with Trauma patients.
- Performs security related functions, including but not limited to standbys, motorist assistance, locks/unlocks, report writing, CCTV monitoring, patient assists. Acts as a patient/Visitor/Employee/Student escorts when necessary.
- Responds to escalating and combative patient and visitor situations and assists staff as necessary.
- Parking lot standbys. Maintain employee vehicle registration and parking assignments.
- Assists with air ambulance arrivals/departures.
- Assists with monthly fire extinguisher checks and monthly fire drills.
- Motorist assists consisting of jump starts and airing up tires.
- Identification of safety/maintenance/repair concerns and reporting to the appropriate authority.
- Maintain patient valuables. Maintain lost and found for the organization.
- Performs patient restraints under the direct supervision of a registered nurse.
- Security vehicle transports of patients to and from Stormont Vail Behavioral Health. Monitors for Interim Life Safety Measures that are put into place.
