A Brief Overview
Services Technicians perform a wide range of laundry and linen related duties internally to ensure the ongoing operation of the organization.
Experience Qualifications
- Experience in a service industry. Preferred
- Experience working in a hospital. Preferred
Skills and Abilities
- Ability to read a limited number of two- and three- syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences. (Required proficiency)
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. (Required proficiency)
What you will do
- Collects, weighs and prepares dirty linen for transport in accordance with Hospital and contracting vendor guidelines. Visually inspects all linens for cleanliness, tears and stains. Processes supply and Par orders and distributes product to hospital departments.
- Participates in cleaning, restocking, and checking outdates of unit supplies. Informs department director of any immediate supply and/or equipment needs not able to be met through regular procedures. Participates in maintaining the department and facility in a clean and orderly manner.
- Consistently provides excellent service to patients, guests and coworkers to promote efficiency, productivity and satisfaction. Follows safety precautions to prevent injury to self, patients or others, and to prevent damage to hospital equipment/property. Follows policy in promptly reporting workplace injuries, occupational exposures and other incidents. Utilizes Hospital communication channels to receive and distribute work related information.
- Attends meetings and participates in committees and special projects as assigned by supervisor. Maintains and advances knowledge and skills through completion of training assignments, regular review of materials or attendance in approved training events. Demonstrates proficiency through completion of competencies where applicable.
- Other related services duties may be assigned as necessary to fulfill the functions of the service position.

- 20% Delivery and pick-up; dependent upon department need.
