SWP Contracting LLC is searching for an experienced Heavy Equipment Mechanic to support our road and vegetation projects in Harlingen, TX.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Analyze malfunctions and repair, rebuild and maintain power equipment, such as power shovels, scrapers, paving machines, motor graders, trench-digging machines, excavators, bulldozers, dredges, backhoes, compressors and pneumatic tools.
- Operate and inspect machines or equipment to diagnose defects, dismantles and reassembles equipment.
- Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times
- Perform services and repairs from basic preventative maintenance inspections and troubleshooting, all the way up to brake work, suspension and drive-line repairs on medium and heavy duty trucks and trailers.
- Accurately record time, parts, and inspection checklists
- Performing routine physical labor duties and help keep the workplace clean and safe
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1-3 years minimum of heavy equipment operating experience in a construction setting is required
- Ability to clear a background check, drug test, and MVR.
