SWP Contracting & Paving, LLC is looking for a skilled Grade Checker for their ongoing construction project in the Safford, AZ area.
The Grade Checker is mainly responsible for measuring and setting grade stakes to guide heavy equipment operators, ensuring excavation and filling are done to the correct depth and slope according to project specifications

Essential Functions:
- Reading plans, cut / fill maps, and stakes for large excavation projects.
- Setting accurate grading stakes and hubs.
- Using the latest GPS technology such as rovers etc. to check grade efficiently.
- Safely working around heavy equipment in production settings.
- Communicating with others including operators and managers.
Qualifications:
- Able to pass a background and drug test – KOMAN is a drug-free environment.
- Ability to work from diagrams, sketches, and oral and written instructions.
- Ability to work effectively with fellow employees.
