Distribution Associate Job Description
Reports to: Distribution Supervisor
Status: Full-Time
FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt
Job Description
Distribution associates will assist with the daily activities which support the fulfillment and logistics of our inventory. Associates will be responsible for maintaining documentation of order fulfillment and facilitating transportation throughout the supply chain.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintains accurate daily records of orders fulfilled and deliveries made.
- Performs all duties related to order fulfillment and delivery.
- Conducts audits of all incoming and outgoing inventory.
- Facilitates all inventory transportation across the supply chain.
- Assists with periodic vehicle maintenance and inspections.
- Operates forklift truck when necessary.
- Performs other related duties as requested.
Qualifications
- Ability to use the computer.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to manage high stress situations and to be flexible and adaptable when required.
- Self-motivated with the ability to multi-task.
- At least 21 years of age and authorized to work in the US.
- Proper employment documentation.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license.
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends, if requested.
- Experience and knowledge in horticulture and/or agriculture preferred.
- Previous inventory experience.
Physical Demands
- Must have the ability to push, pull, or lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
- Must be capable of sitting, squatting, standing, kneeling, bending, or walking for extended periods.
Education
- Minimum High School Diploma or G.E.D equivalent required.
- Degree in business, horticulture, agriculture, or plant science field is desirable.
