Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our Warehouse team! As a Warehouse Mechanic, you will help maintain and repair Story Construction's fleet of vehicles and heavy equipment. Additionally, you will aid the rest of the Warehouse team to maintain the general operation of the Warehouse. This is a full-time position, with working hours Monday - Friday, 7:00AM - 3:30PM.

Summary of Duties:
- Perform required inspections and preventative maintenance on company vehicles and equipment including, excavators, cranes, track loaders, wheel loaders, string trimmers, welders, power buggies, and more.
- Utilize ToolWatch to document work orders.
- Complete minor welding projects as needed.
- Assist with loading and unloading company tools and equipment onto trailers.
- Perform general warehouse duties and maintain a safe and hazard-free workplace.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues, communicate those issues, and repair the equipment.
- Complete safety checks on all equipment, and ensure all equipment is in good working order.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must have a current valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Experience working on both gas and diesel engines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current Class A CDL
- Knowledge of construction material/terminology and or experience in the construction field
- Welding certification

Physical Demands & Working Conditions:
Employees may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, vibration, loud noises, and more within OSHA standards. Job duties are often performed in close proximity to other people. Employees often work in outdoor conditions that include inclement weather such as heat, humidity, cold, wind, and dust. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly, stand for long periods of time, walk for moderate-to-long distances on varying surface conditions, climb, crawl, crouch, reach, grip, push, and pull without issue. Must possess adequate communicative, auditory, and visual capabilities to avoid safety hazards.
