Summary Description
This part-time position provides administrative support for the operations of the County’s Attorney’s Office and performs related administrative, secretarial, and customer service duties.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Receives and responds to telephone, email, and in-person inquiries from staff or the public; responds to inquires or directs to appropriate staff members.
- Reviews and prepares law enforcement media to be downloaded and exported to prosecuting and defense attorneys.
- Prepares and maintains confidential files for legal assistants and attorneys.
- Develops and maintains electronic and paper files, records, and reports related to office business; performs data entry and database management functions.
- Maintains and updates department specific website or web-based forms.
- Receives, sorts, and prepares incoming and outgoing mail.
- Processes invoices, paperwork, applications, or claims on behalf of staff.
- Prepares a variety of written correspondence, letters, mailings, brochures, or presentations for staff; proofreads various written materials.
- Assists with maintaining adequate office supplies and materials; orders office supplies.
- Assists in maintaining a clean office environment.
- Performs related duties as assigned.

- Knowledge of customer service principles and practices.
- Knowledge of the management of digital media files.
- Knowledge of confidential records management principles.
- Skill in the use of computers and job-related software programs.

Qualifications
- Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with completion of specialized training in the field of work, in addition to basic skills typically associated with a high school education.
- Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position, usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years.
