As a CMA/LPN you will:
- Perform patient care within the guidelines of hospital/clinic policies and procedures and scope of practice.
- Perform all medical assistant duties in accordance with state medical assistant regulations while adhering to all facility and departmental policies and procedures
- Apply background knowledge of pathophysiology of disease and nursing skill techniques in initial encounter with patients, recognizing and reporting to the provider any potentially emergency and/or critical symptoms.
- Visually assess and provide patient safety, according to identified needs.
- Accurately prepare and administer prescribed medications according to hospital/clinic procedures and scope of practice.
- Take patients to exam rooms, chart vitals, note chief complaints and other required charting activity.
- Perform venipuncture, gives allergy and other injections.
- Complete appropriate documentation in the patient’s electronic medical record.
- Prepare patient for examination, procedures, treatments and assist provider as needed.
- Coordinate on-going patient flow through the clinic process ensuring efficient and effective continuity
- Deliver and document patient teaching and verify that the patient and/or significant other person is receptive and understands the information.
- Support and abide by all hospital, departmental and safety policies and procedures.
- Attend in-services offered by the hospital and weekly staff meetings.
- Utilizes interpersonal skills to establish and maintain healthy relationships with healthcare providers, co-workers, patients and families.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient, resident, and personnel information.

- Graduate of an approved school or certificate program
- Certified Medical Assistant certification.
- BLS
- Dependent Adult Mandatory Reporter

Salary Range: $18.00-$27.00 per hour (competitive and commensurate with experience)
