Job Description :
As a Senior Insurance Litigation Associate or Counsel, you will play a key role in handling high-stakes insurance disputes for major clients, including coverage litigation, bad faith claims, and other complex insurance-related matters. You will work closely with partners and clients, manage cases from inception through resolution, and have the opportunity to take on significant responsibility in all phases of litigation.
Key Responsibilities :
- Case Management : Lead and manage a diverse caseload of complex insurance litigation matters, including but not limited to coverage disputes, bad faith claims, and policyholder vs. insurer litigation.
- Litigation Strategy : Develop and implement effective litigation strategies, including analyzing claims, identifying potential legal issues, and crafting persuasive arguments.
- Client Interaction : Provide exceptional client service by advising clients on legal risks, settlement strategies, and potential outcomes. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, providing clear communication and timely updates on case developments.
- Court Appearances & Depositions : Conduct depositions, manage discovery, prepare and argue motions, and represent clients in hearings and trials.
- Mentorship : Mentor junior associates and support staff, providing guidance on legal research, case strategy, and professional development.
- Collaborative Teamwork : Work closely with colleagues across various departments, including partners, associates, and paralegals, to ensure effective case management and client outcomes.
- Business Development : Participate in firm marketing and client development efforts to further expand the practice, including attending industry events and contributing to thought leadership.
