Description
Stotz Equipment is looking for a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) semi driver to support our sales and service departments. The successful candidate will haul mid-size to large agriculture and compact construction equipment for deliveries, demos, and transfers. Must be able to provide robust customer service with a positive attitude, to ensure the highest customer satisfaction possible, and maintain safety standards. Excellent organizational skills, effective follow-up, and outstanding communication skills are also a must.
What You'll Do
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, communicating with the sales department when equipment is ready to deliver or if changes need to be made, assisting with paperwork (move sheets/demo forms/POs), etc. May also work with service and sales departments to wash incoming and outgoing equipment. Will interact with customers upon delivery to teach them about safety and the operation of their equipment. All work must be completed safely, professionally, and in a timely manner.
Experience as a mechanic is helpful.
Qualifications
What it Takes
- Current CDL license
- A clean driving record
- Must know how to load both small and large equipment onto a flatbed trailer and tie down it appropriately
- Proven knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and techniques used for hauling and remaining compliant
- Must be able to operate the machines when loading and unloading
- The ability to lift at least 50 lbs., operate a forklift and pallet jack, and be aware of safety compliance
- Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated with high energy, yet also be able to perform as a team player.
- Must be reliable, dependable, and efficient.
- Must project a professional, positive attitude and have good customer service skills.
- Must be able to work flexible hours if needed. May be asked to work varying shifts, evenings, and weekends.
- Must be able to travel out of state for deliveries.
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- Must have basic computer skills and maintain/ own their own basic set of tools.
- The candidate must be able to pass a pre-employment background, physical, and drug screen.
Experience Required
- Prefer at least 1-3 years’ experience driving/hauling
- 3 years: Flatbed hauling and tie-down of large and oversized equipment.
- 3 years: Experience hauling and loading heavy or large agricultural equipment.
