What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Circulating RN - Operating Room position at Stoughton Health?
Stoughton Health has an excellent opportunity for an Experienced Circulating RN in our Operating Room on a PRN basis.
The registered nurse position is responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients in assigned units. The RN maintains accountability for their own practice and delegates/provides direction to other nursing personnel in the unit in accordance with their level of experience and expertise.
Essential Functions:
- Ability to perform essential functions of a Registered Nurse including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes, planning, and evaluation
- Effectively enhances the quality and effectiveness of nursing practices
- Maintains knowledge and competency that reflects current nursing practices
- Interacts with and contributes to the professional development of peers and colleagues
- Collaborates with patient, family, and others in the conduct of nursing practice
- Integrates research findings into clinical practice
Position Requirements:
- Required: Associate’s Degree in Nursing
- Required: Graduate of an accredited school of Registered Nursing
- Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing
- Currently licensed by the Board of Licensing and Regulation in the State of Wisconsin as a Registered Nurse in good standing
- Professional Experience: Requires 1 year of relevant nursing experience. Experience in Operating Room, Circulating General, and Orthopedics.
- Required Certification: Current BLS certification at hire, ACLS and PALS certification within 90 days of hire.
- Non-violent crisis intervention or workplace violence training every two years on a rolling calendar
- Computer Competency: Basic Computer Skills are expected for this position. Access email, reference internal websites, access electronic health records, and use online learning tools to remain current with continuing education requirements.
- Microsoft Office Suite Skills: Beginning Skills – Able to perform basic things such as opening a document, change font, save a document, write a letter.
Work Shift:
- PRN Status
- Monday - Friday
- Hours vary between 6:30 am to 6:00 pm
- Rotating starts between 6:00 am to 9:00 am
- 4, 6, 8 or 10 hour shifts
- 2 shifts Per Month
