Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Strategic Sourcing and Value Creation:
- Develop and execute strategic sourcing plans for all indirect categories, aligning with business objectives and driving total cost of ownership (TCO) reductions.
- Identify and capture value beyond cost savings, including innovation, improved service levels, increased operations productivity and enhanced supplier collaboration.
- Conduct market analysis to identify emerging trends, potential suppliers, and opportunities for strategic partnerships.
- Supplier Relationship Management and Performance:
- Build and maintain strong and collaborative relationships with key indirect suppliers, focusing on long-term partnerships and mutual value creation.
- Implement robust supplier performance management programs, including regular business reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct supplier risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to ensure supply chain stability.
- Technology and Process Optimization:
- Utilize e-procurement tools and other systems to streamline sourcing processes and improve efficiency.
- Leverage data analytics to gain insights into spending patterns, identify optimization opportunities, and drive data-driven decision-making.
- Automate routine tasks and processes to reduce manual effort and improve accuracy.
- Risk Management and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulations, and ethical standards, including sustainability and corporate social responsibility.
- Create indirect sourcing policies as needed by business.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks in the supply chain, including financial, operational, and reputational risks.
- Implement robust contract management processes to ensure compliance and minimize legal exposure.
- Stakeholder Management and Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders across various departments to understand their needs and requirements.
- Act as a strategic partner and trusted advisor, providing sourcing expertise and support to internal stakeholders.
- Facilitate effective communication and alignment between suppliers and internal stakeholders.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze spending data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
- Develop and present reports on sourcing performance, including cost savings, supplier performance, and compliance metrics.
- Provide spend analytics to management.
- Invoice Management:
- Review and approve supplier invoices as needed, ensuring accuracy and compliance with contracts.
- Reconcile invoices with purchase orders and delivery receipts.
- Supplier Onboarding:
- Oversee supplier onboarding process, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain documentation related to supplier onboarding
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience: 5-10 years of experience in indirect procurement or related field.
- Licenses/Certifications: CPM, CPSM, or equivalent certification strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of indirect procurement principles and practices.
- Excellent negotiation and contract management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in e-procurement tools and ERP systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
